>>Mid West Accent is closer to old old English

I've heard this too.

It's amazing to me how many accents there are in the UK alone - like with every fold in the Earth there is a new accent.

Probably not, if history is a judge.  These startups that get gobbled by the big portals: Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Google seem to languish and atrophy after being borged.

Wireless carriers are considering charging customers per service: they want to charge  for Facebook use, YouTube, Skype etc.

Another reason why I prefer a touch screen optimized web page over an app unless the app is clearly superior to use.

It's all spooky tho.

Was it just link bait?   :P

Not that they would ever do it, but it is a pity they don't sell the AV and ATW domains to some new aspiring search engine that is serious about search.

I feel bad that those names have to be part of Yahoo's slow death march.

>>SRware Iron

Trying it. Mac version. So far so good. I'll give it a test.  Not sure it will replace Opera but it's early days.  I think I already like it better than Safari.

I've been avoiding Chrome simply because I knew it would probably phone home.  Now I'm actually keen on trying it.

Same here.  Still using Opera and not interested in Chrome.  But I would like extensions that will do this stuff for next version of Opera.

And is the only game in town.

>>Ditto on the Virgin Mifi

OK, Brad, I'm on here via my craptop and virgin mifi.  It's slow but the location inside the condo may be part of that problem.   But, hey, slow is better than nothing.

Thanks RC.  I see you got the last one.  ;)  The info is useful since I've got people asking me, the resident geek genius, for advice about buying ATT iPads, Verizon Mifi plus iPad, Virgin Mobile + iPad, etc.  At least I know Virgin works.

Geothermal is popular in some of the surrounding area.  Looked at it for use here in the "green" subdivision, but they said the clay was not conducive to vertical drilling or something.

That worked!   :D

Seriously, I think the Australian Foreign Minister nailed it when he said the real persons at fault are those in Washington who did not make sure the information was secure.

That driveway had to have cost a small fortune.
