Interesting character and inspiring.... though the mosquito thing is scary. I might rather have malaria (and FRT, I *have* had malaria, so have some clue about what I'm saying).

Very good article.  I like his general outlook, I think we are in a major renaissance period right now as well.  People aren't seeing it because they are too caught up in their daily lives, but change is happening all over the place.

His global warming solution ideas are interesting, another one that I remember reading about is to put iron particles into the ocean which would cause a phytoplankton bloom which would in turn cause a lot of carbon to be locked up and fall to the bottom of the ocean.  People are afraid of f###ing things up more, but that should be weighed against what inaction will cause.  Obviously we should act with our eyes wide open.
