Exactly. No thought for the citizens consumers. Congress has been sneaking stuff like this in for years, but it used to be only once in awhile, now it seems like every new bill, regulation or law is all for some corporation, industry group and neither the politicians or business suits even try to hide it anymore.
If you want to know why Populism is growing it's because the rank and file people no longer have faith or trust in the system. They think a "Man on a Horse", is going to fix things, but that is a deception too.
Gov't no longer even tries to regulate what they are supposed to: food safety, aircraft safety, pharmaceutical safety, Google, privacy, Banking, securities - the regulators are either asleep, or the job has be outsourced, or the companies left to regulate themselves.
