It's close, but not quite the same thing.  Maybe that was a hack on the old board, I'll try to find a way to get it on here.

I added recent posts to the bottom of the board's index page, its pretty close to the same functionality.

I did one better and added an active tab up top and next to the home link.

I wish there were a "Jump to unread" or "Jump to new" link somewhere. That could help in some of these longer threads.
