I used it while tracking Hurricane Matthew here. Rainfall mouseover is particularly handy.

Mesmerizing. I can see I'll be spending a lot of time looking at this in the winter

I used it while tracking Hurricane Matthew here. Rainfall mouseover is particularly handy.

The first time I looked, either the mouseovers weren't working or I was too distracted by everything else going on. Being partly colorblind, the mouseover is key to figuring out the freezing altitude (and thus a rough idea of where it's snowing).

Here's another very similar one:

https://www.windytv.com/?29.612,-70.356,5

NOTE : Tools > Distance Measurement & Planning

That's what I was using to tell Doc how close the eye was supposed to be to his house

Also, I like the weather station icons. Mouseover gives you current reading (NOT the history reading if you're running the timeline player). This worked well to see windspeeds as Matthew was going by an area.

I sometimes use this one, as it includes wave data - which is important to me.
