Google still thinks I live at the guesthouse down the road, and keeps asking me to review my own kitchen. It also thinks I have the local football club in my garden.

When I'm back in the UK, the pub I go in most has taken the opposite route. A large range of good beers at reasonable prices, no food. It does very well. The rest of the area is more of a pub wasteland every time I go back though.

It seems I'm a blank slate, which is pleasing.

I'm not a huge fan of the Aldi here in Austria, but Lidl (same idea) is a different matter. I'm there weekly. Decent Weissbier for hardly any money

They have a higher proportion of proper brands ordering content, and stricter editorial standards, but it's still a cheap and (sometimes) cheerful lottery.

The only site I ever sold, the buyer asked if he could keep it parked on my server for a bit while he sorted out his own hosting. Fine, I removed all my own ads and contacts etc, and left it there. Two years of complete inactivity later, the domain expired. It still baffles me.

Can't speak for Germany, but here in Austria a lot of people are nervous about the Euro's future, so not spending, so vicious circle
