QuoteFernando de Leon, founder of Leon Capital Group, says he sees big problems in data center financing.

"... I see large technology companies, the largest companies on the planet, with $4 trillion market cap, saying, 'I don't want to own this asset. I don't want to have this on my balance sheet.' So I ask, Why? Why doesn't the largest company in the world want to own its own asset?" De Leon said.

...

De Leon surmises that what is inside these data centers, the technology of artificial intelligence, will quickly become obsolete. AI, after all, is designed to make everything more efficient, including itself. And the value of the centers is not the four walls, but what's inside. "

I saw a thing somewhere where an English professor, instead of disallowing ChatGBT, encouraged his students to use it and HOW to use it well.

He would then have the kids look at the essays that were written and determine IF the bot made its point and work to make the essay better via edit rather than have them start with a blank page.

I thought it was kind of genius: they will use ChatGBT already, so embrace it.

Some drugs are made with grants from the US government, but drug companies still charge people a lot of money for them. If my tax dollars are used for the R and D, shouldn't people in the US be charged less for those drugs?

I think the standardized testing has gotten ridiculous. Teachers have to teach to the test to get federal funding resulting in kids who don't learn how to figure things out. Not everything has a multiple choice answer.

>Subaru always seems to be a mixture of old and new tech compared to others.

That's what I noticed when I got my Subaru. My thought was that they used reliable old tech in places where it didn't really matter.

Sidenote:
The 1985 Toyota SR5 Xtra Cab that was in the Back to the Future movie

I looked it up, and even with over 200K miles they run anywhere from 10K to 20K. And if it looks like the one in the movie: 30K

I've always wanted a pickup that was that size. I think they could sell the hell out of those.

But if you really want it to be efficient, you'll have a slime mold design it:

Ergo:  posted this because I knew you'd have the real skinny. Thank you.

What most people don't realize is that most government jobs are HARD to get! You really have to be the best in your field.

Probably the easiest job to get in the gov is to run for office.

American companies, whole towns, have been eviscerated by Chinese cyberattacks. But their stories remain untold, even as the stakes get higher and the targets more reckless.

To Catch a Thief is a first-of-its-kind, documentary look at China's rise to cyber supremacy. This podcast charts the evolution of China's state-sponsored hackers, from their beginnings as "the most polite, mediocre hackers in cyberspace" to the "apex predator" that now haunts America's critical infrastructure.

Canadians are also selling their houses in Arizona and Florida. I think it's safe to say Canadians are PISSED.
