Google are peeing me off so I've finally decided to try and wean myself from Google dependency - that means killing Google Analytics and finding an alternative to Adsense.

Periodically I receive emails from one company or other offering YPN ads for use, but my cynicism suspects being royally ripped off by these people.

In which case, my questions are:

1. Are there any decent companies to run YPN ads through if not able to sign up directly with Yahoo?
2. Is there a relatively simple and painless way to register for YPN contextual advertising?

YPN closed for regular publishers some time ago. Then only kept their huge corporate level publishers. Don't know anything about sub-publisher deals.

That sounds like typical Yahoo - you'd almost think Google were paying Yahoo to kill themselves.

I said something similar to Adcenter rep after she shut down our campaigns for some bullshit reason.

I said "are you guys actually trying to compete? or do you want me to take my money and go spend it with google?"

they don't get it

I stay away from as much Google as I can. I stay away from analytics like it was leperous. Same with GWT.

I recently tried Lijit, which was purchased by Federated Media recently. They have an IBA ability but the earnings I was receiving were a fraction of AdSense. Worse, some people site visitors reported slow download rates, but the load was heavier with the addition of Lijit in combo with AS.  I've been toying around with OpenX and it's something I'm going to implement when I have some time, to just sell direct.

Publishers Network was typical of Yahoo. Big hype and then they waste years building it and then never complete it while never letting it compete. New name for Y! = Zombie! cos they are walking dead.
