I know that there are other Clook users here.  Anyone else experiencing a general drop in reliability / service over the last few months.
Sites effectively offline again at the moment.  No status updates for 90 minutes. No ETA.  Never had a bad word to say about them until lately, but something seems to have changed.

Got a couple of reseller accounts with them - one of which, on Hazel, has had all sorts of issues.

However, they did a big datacentre move recently:

I figure that's now more or less completed, but that there will inevitably be some niggles.

Clook have always impressed me with their dedicated to service, so I'm confident that any issues that may be occuring are beyond their control, and any they can influence they are chasing down as much as possible.

Let's face it, computers are a bugger to work with at the best of times, so having racks of them and moving them about is bound to cause unforeseen issues. As before though, have full confidence in Clook, more so than most other hosting companies.

DDOS on their network tonight, so not their fault I guess.  Just had a few experiences in the past of "When good hosts go bad" so get nervy about possible early signs.

So far as I'm aware, Clook still have the same staff, which has to be a good thing.

Shame about the DDoS, though - the datacentre itself should have some form of filtering on this, but unfortunately not so common.

That's why my dedicated servers are hosted at The Planet - it's one of the few datacentres I'm aware of that already filters traffic to prevent DDoS.

I'm with Clook and can't say I was too happy with what happened last night. Their customer service is excellent and I realise a DDos isn't their fault, but they should have contingency plans in place. Apologies don't really cut much mustard when you've lost business and reputation from your site(s) being down.

Anyone with Clook should brace for another bad day.
From here it looks like they've borked their DNS cluster (which is a heap of shite anyway). I've got 2 dedicated servers down. Seeing lots of other affected sites.  Those who haven't "upgraded" to the DNS cluster look unaffected.
