Yes, it's as ugly and confusing to Joe Surfer as you could hope for.... but is there an SEO value to a single keyword '.nom.co' domain, if its hosted in the USA, in Google search?

Anyone?

if anyone here has nom.nom.co I will pay you for it :) How did I miss that?!

lol ;D

>SEO value to a single keyword

yeah, this is really more difficult/complex than I made it out to be.  I think there may be some clickability components too.  For example, if I saw widget.nom.co vs brandwidget.nom.co, or brand-widget.nom.co, I might click on the single keyword before the other too thinking they were more of an authority, thereby influencing CTR on an engine. I do think if everyone starts linking to you using the single keyword though, you'd have to be better off than brandwidget.nom.co in the end, as the engine may associate that phrase with that site.

I guess we'll see.  The space is somewhat competitive but theres been a disproportional amount of squatting so I'm looking at 2 word combos and 2 word hyphenated combos that really pigeon hole the possible content offering. The good thing is I see no affiliate spammers in the space, so I'm hoping I'll surprise them:)
