Incidentally, that is my grandmother's gun... she brought it over on the boat from Italy in her corset.

This sh## runs in my veins:)

I just realised thats a tiny gun... or is your key massive!??  Yeah I need a leatherman but they look too big.  I pretty much only carry my phone, keys and wallet :D

...and a leatherman is quite small and has a great leather belt case, which isn't (that) red neckish:)

I saw amazing Kung Fu using a ladies hand fan.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtNhoDBqoGY

I've always wanted to learn Kung Fu:  it looks like a beautiful dance...

My kids do it and kick the living sh** out of me practicing :)

Which reminds me, When is the wedding day DB?  (Since you're gearing up for the family to arrive...)

You won't understand that joke until you understand that, in my family, we have bouncers at our weddings....

>wedding day
No date set. We will most likely elope in a year or so. Maybe Bora Bora:)

>I've always wanted to learn Kung Fu
Yeah, very cool.  I think all forms have something to offer, so pick what ever strikes your fancy.  Krav Maga is probably your overall most practical self defense martial art, but it's heavy on the martial and light on the art. It's more like poke out their eyes and kick them in the balls, and keep moving, but it works great. Jiu-jitsu with some striking is maybe better for 1 on 1 self defense, especially if you are smaller and weaker than your opponent, but not so good when there is more than one person, and it takes much longer to learn.

Is that the one that was invented for use by the Israeli military?

right. Think urban and eclectic. the idea is to effectively disable the guy, stay on your feet, and keep moving forward. The longer you wait, the worse it is for you, if your opponent has friends.

Brazilian jui-jitsu is also a martial art that took the best and most useful from the japanese form, and improved upon it greatly, and is still growing and evolving today.

But if what you like is dance, then its definitely not Krav Maga:)

I've got to say that it is amazing to watch but as I get older I much prefer the idea of an English cream tea

Coincidentally, Jason, that little gun was the same gun James Bond used before he got his PPK.  So you can dress it both up and down:)
