LM, in terms of human evolution, I think this is indeed our trigger event; the next leap in everything we do.

I imagine by 2015 every home will have a glass jam jar bubbling away in the corner, housing a blob of tissue all wired up to a router and a USB 3.0 port for ease of use.

This is so cool.

For many years now (about 12) I've thought of a science fiction story where The Librarian curates massive amounts of information stored in the "junk" DNA of a sequoia grove - 700 TB /gm * 1.0*10^7 gm/tree * 5000 trees in a big grove = a lot of storage
