Lots of mentions of motion-sickness or vertigo in VR lately.  Might be this guy stirring the media pot, though.

That said, I've wondered about motion-sickness with VR goggles from the git-go.

First gen VR used to make a lot of people feel motion sick.  My own experiences were more disorientation than motion sickness.  People always blamed the lag, which they say is no longer an issue.  Not tried  newer sets though.

When I was in my mid-20s, I had a severe case of bacteria/viral vertigo, aka vestibular neuritis.   Without exaggeration, I believe that is just about the sickest I think you can be.  The doc said it might make me more prone to vertigo.  Luckily, if I exclude the nearly deadly (as in death by crashing) attack of pilot's vertigo while alone in a single-engine plane, I don't have any more trouble than anyone else.

....Except when it comes to VR.  I can't go near the stuff.
