A few weeks back we had a thread talking about the differences between the generations.  I am not sure if the assumptions translate in the same way across international boarders?  I am starting to get called 'Sir' a lot by Millennials, I know they are trying to be polite, but is is off-putting.  I don't feel that old.  To repeater myself from the other thread, I do like Millennials by and large, they are friendly once you get to know them, inquisitive and actually seem to have a good work ethic.

I just saw a presentation of fresh (not yet published) travel trends - it turns out that Millennials in committed relationships with children are the biggest growth area for luxury travel.

I think most of us seeing the presentation don't even think of Millennials as having children at all, let having children and the expendable income for luxury travel.

This is based primarily on survey data, primarily from two surveys of about 3000 and 5000 respondents.

I looked over the chart and realized that as a Boomer on the cusp of Gen-X, I identify mostly frequently with Gen-Y/Millennial preferences, with a few Boomer and Gen-X preferences mixed in.

[edit: acutally in the first chart with photos at the top, I'm Boomer all the way; in the second one (attire, etc), I'm pretty much Millennial down the line except that I turn all interent/media off from about 8:30pm to 6:30am most days and don't need constant feedback. At least I don't think I do. Do you guys think I need constant feedback ;-)
