Ran across this while looking for Blink cam stuff. Apparently out of kickstarter. Amazon US has it listed as shipping next week.  Appears to be mostly dependent upon IFTTT. Interesting, but I can't thick of a use for me that phone notifications don't already cover.

Yeah. And we here tend to be more mobile and think less about being chained to our desktops. That review about a flasher when a online order comes in was noteworthy.

>> online order flashing.

If they could make it say "Get your a## off Facebook and get back to work, slacker!" it would increase productivity in most US businesses exponentially.

As an aside, you wouldn't want to work for me in an office. First thing I'd do is hire Damian to install some of his server-watching voodoo software, the 2nd thing would be to make you turn in your phone at the door.

Storytime:

Travoli, Rumbas, & I (others?) went to Damian's office 6 or 7 years ago. He had new hires or interns working for him and, knowing that he -like the rest of us- was paranoid about people stealing his intangibles and running to a competitor, we asked him how he locked it down.  He says I show them this and proceeds to unfurl an entire day of what was done on one of the workstations. Waaaay more than key-logging. IIRC, it was scrolling through screenshots, logins, programs loaded. Pretty much everything.  I think it notified him if someone plugged in a thumb drive, but that may have been somewhere else.  Anyway, he fully and appropriately disclosed he was watching to new hires and I can only imagine that they were left thinking 'Holy Shit!'

hahaahahhahahahaha.

yup, that's my personal idea of hell.

To be honest I've taken the view over the last 10 years or so, that if someone's gonna steal, they're going to do it. Because of that the boring business process stuff takes precedence.

If they need access to important shit, they get it, but if not they don't.

Oh... and being litigation and baseball bat ready if need be.
