Sometimes I wonder if humans are capable of writing software that could take advantage of quantum computing.

Seth Lloyd's "Programming the Universe" is a nice read.

QuoteProgramming the Universe: A Quantum Computer Scientist Takes On the Cosmos is a 2006 popular science book by Seth Lloyd, professor of mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The book proposes that the universe is a quantum computer, and advances in the understanding of physics may come from viewing entropy as a phenomenon of information, rather than simply thermodynamics. Lloyd also postulates that the universe can be fully simulated using a quantum computer; however, in the absence of a theory of quantum gravity, such a simulation is not yet possible.

Also "Quantum Computing Since Democritus" by Scott Aaronson.

Neither are massively physics/maths heavy but provide a lot of insight. I like how some of these unsolved problems with maths/geometry/an accurate formulation of reality date all the way back to the Greeks.

Thanks Ergophobe.

That was much more interesting. I kind of got it and was aware of most of the principles but then again I'm not so sure "I got it".

I guess my knowledge of QC is both ignorant and not at the same time!
