You beat me to the post, RT.  I considered putting it under 'terminator' but it's (not yet) robotic (AFAIK). Darpa probably has the fully weaponized version for flushing us out of our post-singularity caves.

I must dissent, RC. Weaponized drones fit perfectly into the terminator thread.

A million years ago, there was a Columbo episode where a violist was killed by a gun positioned outside his window with a trigger rigged to a tuning fork-type device.  For some reason, that killing-by-remote has always stuck in my mind. I've seen a flying, gun-toting drone here or elsewhere and wonder how long it will be before we have drone assassinations --if not already.  Kim Jong Nam's killing could have been easily done by quadcopter, I think.

From the article

QuoteNow, before you get all worried about drones like these being used to kill humans, just remember that drones are already being used to kill humans practically every day.

Lest you think you could hide deep in the tunnels...

Gets serious about 1 minute 30 sec mark.

Dad wants a drone that he can put a small sprayer on to spot spray weeds.

you thought it through more than me. I simply couldn't find the terminator thread  on mobile.
