Pretty damn cold these days and it dropped to about -9 with high wind speeds. Went for a walk along the beach last night with a buddy. THAT was cold to the point of getting frost bite.
Locally not much snow, but some places got a much as 50 cm.

We're also getting 'the beast from the east'. Looks like there could be up to 2 feet of snow. It'll last a week tops, too warm for it to stick around.

Last night was my first night as a "Maintenance Worker II, Extra Help"

Basically, in past years, the county bugged out at 5pm and didn't plow us out until noon the next day. I got 4 of us together to become part-time help to keep the roads open.

So far, comments are running about 50/50 between "thank you" and "!#%$)@#$ plow drivers didn't get my street done how and when I wanted it."
