Conclusions
Frequent consumption of meals prepared away from home is significantly associated with increased risk of all-cause mortality. The association of eating meals prepared away from home with cardiovascular mortality and cancer mortality warrants additional investigation.

I visited my dad yesterday.  He's down about 25 lbs.  He's still very much at an unhealthy weight.  He said he doesn't know why he's losing.  I told him it's because Omicron is keeping him out of restaurants.

It goes way beyond calories, fats, & salt.  Restaurants use massively pre-processed foods for a start, then they douse their foods with
chemicals & additives to increase shelf life and appearance (phosphorous, which taxes kidneys, is used big-time).  This is the underlying reason that kidney patients have big problems because of eating out.  Grocery stores also spray meats & produce for the same reasons.

I'm increasing convinced that the reason I'm able to eat more red meats than most on my diet is because I buy my meats from a high-volume, direct-to-shelf farmer/butcher.
