Still, with the current wave of EU privacy regulations, they'd be serving the market for much lower $ returns.

I've read that UK is 2nd behind US, but since Brexit they don't fall under the EU regs.  Debbie says the EU as a whole is probably 3rd now exceeds the UK.

IIRC, Zuck used the pull-out threat in AU about 18 months ago.  Something about a tax or had to share revenues with newspapers.

Trying to wrap my mind around what that would look like assuming the EU doesn't cave like Australia did.

Is Europe geofenced and Europeans can't view IG/FB? Is it just that ads can no longer be targeted and so FB/IG stop European ad sales? I don't understand how one "pulls" a website from one market without having a Great Chinese Firewall.
