As I am at LEadcon in Vegas I wonder does anyone have experience. Not looking for the big agents/networks offering lead gen for loans but the small agents/networks offering leadgen for cranes for sale in illinois......anyone know anyone.

My father used to manufacture truck mounted drilling rigs and so I kinda grew up exposed to that crowd...

If I got you correct, you want to sell leads to someone who sells, for example, Grove Cranes? If so, I would have to think you might be better off with meeting and inking real paper deals, in the real world, with guys with rough hands that have a $500 calling card website, than you would finding a someone that will have an Ajax form with referral tracking on it.

I looked at the heavy industry trade years ago and recognized a huge advantage if you could gain market share, but like all the other stuff, I already picked up too many things at the buffet to pick up any more. I ended up making my dad a little wordpress site for his international brokering and called it good.

...big money and big margins here with little traffic and little competition... But when you finally connect with a sale, it's usually a good one. That said, I'd rather get a big word of mouth commission than some $50 lead on a $100k sale. This is still an old mans game and they would rather pay for performance than a lead because while heavy equipment is a numbers game, the numbers aren't that high, so the value of a lead is extremely high... Or not worth a dime.

Agreed Dogboy, except I don't like dealing with lots of people...happy to let other people have that hassle and make the cash for doing it.

Our skill is traffic to a handful of suppliers, then let these suppliers deal with the world....just how we work.

There was the ambulance chasing crew that were very niche called Legal Leads Network, they were doing lead gen on high value deals, class action suits.

They were paying up to $200 a lead, unqualified purely on a numbers game.

Are you just looking for one buyer for one specific type of lead in one location or is this a cookie cutting model based on say a zip code?

How was Leadscon?

Leadscon was generally rubbish...lots of people, but mostly corporate and stupid americans. But met about 5 people that will transform some of our stuff::):)
