Last weekend we went to the wedding of my niece who married someone she met on a dating app. He's a super nice guy with a really nice family, strong community. Despite all the scammer and such, they found it a good way to meet a serious (meaning, serious about a long-term relationship), like-minded person.

Sort of sweet, but I'm still glad I don't have to go through that particular gauntlet.

One of my daughters lost her husband to cancer at the beginning of the pandemic.  Last year, she started using a dating app (bumble??) that gave women more control of the initial exchanges.  She's now been seriously dating a really nice guy for 5 or 6 months now.
