We traveled, eventually getting to 3 families. Heat pumps were out in 2 of the homes but other heat sources kept them ok --one was cozy with a gas log, the other was borderline tolerable.   Since temps never warmed up to anything near freezing for 3 days along with strong winds, then we did pretty well --far, far better than those poor miserable souls in Buffalo!
