Piper Jaffrey are reporting that they cannot find one...  70% to new users, Buyers were split almost evenly between Mac and PC users (51%/49%). By contrast, the split for the original iPad was 74%/26%.

Does anyone have one of these?  I am thinking of jumping in when they become available in the UK but am not sure if it will be more useful to me or my two kids.

Don't have one. Have considered it for couch surfing, but haven't gotten around to buying one yet.

Been thinking about one as well, I like apps on the ipod but it's so small.

When the first came out, I decided to wait on the next version. Seems quite a few had the same idea.

Got 3 at home and a few more at work. For business they are an essential tool, for home a great add on but not quite the laptop replacement, maybe the 2 will be more so.

I'm going to get one for the breakfast/kitchen area. That's where I often need to quickly get on/off the web for sending a quick email or posting a to-do on the cloud.  I have laptops everywhere else but what I'm buying the Ipad for is to do away with boot time.  My quickest boot-to-web on a linux netbook is 45 seconds. I'm hoping to cut that down to less than 10 with the Ipad.  Patience is not one of my best attributes.

With the right apps you can eliminate paper.  A friend has an app that lets him write his business notes with a stylus, sorta like a giant Palm Pilot.

New purchasers:  Please let me know if you find the lack of flash limiting.

I haven't considered an iPad for this reason... waiting on the web to make a full conversion away from it.  Obviously Steve Jobs isn't going to relent.

Yeah, our business IS web pages, so we all need one.

>flash

I have flash blocked anyway.  I'm going to miss G Chrome.

Drastic

I thought they had caved on flash? Am I just thinking about jailbroken units?

Brad

I think they would dearly like to get rid of flash, not sure they can for awhile but I got the feeling flash is on the way out.

Actually it is pretty rare I run into a website that has something critical in Flash using my an Apple i*.  Then again I hang out in the low tech district.   ;)

I was looking at one on display in a local electrical store (new dishwasher...again).  I thought it was a nice bit of kit, very slick.

The salesman was one us in seconds, as they are.  'Great for kids' he says.  So, my 9 year old had a go at that point, navigated to his favourite games site and 'no flash' was a problem on that site and also the next 4 sites he tried.

I'm not really into games much myself, but it does show that flash is still around depending on what you use the web for.

I was thinking of getting one of these for one of my kids as well, but no Flash = no go for me as well in that department. It's amazing how much Flash is used in that arena. Apps in the App Store didn't cut it in the game department.

Also, I don't think they've really done a huge amount of improvement on this model compared to the first one. I guess with this much of a lead in the market they can get away with incremental updates like this for a while and milk it.

It is amazing how the brand sells the product.  I had a few friends who said they were getting one before even seeing it.  I don't even think that any of them had a good reason for needing one.  Apple have got their brand spot on.
