That's an interesting idea, and I bet it will help to prevent injuries.  Though, the complexity may make it less reliable as the car ages.  I've noticed that a lot of advanced features tend to get buggy somewhere between 80k and 120k miles.

I resisted electric windows as long as I could. Very handy, but often old jalopies seem to have window malfunctions and since I mostly drove old jalopies...

In fact, the back windows were glitchy and then non-functional before the Subaru died.
