That's interesting.

Since the news of long covid came out, I've read experts who say that for many years they knew that some people got long flu and long versions of other maladies. But the numbers just didn't rise to the level where it got intense scrutiny.

So this makes me wonder how many "long" diseases there are and if they figure out a reliable marker for Covid 19 if they can find a reliable marker for long whatever.

Specifically, I'm wondering if people who get chronic fatigue have so many different underlying causes with a shared set of symptoms, that if you could separate them by cause, you might be able to find treatments, not just to long Covid, but long flu, long ????

Of course, funding for all this type of stuff has been thrown into disarray in the US
