Trav, this thread has got me going down a rabbit hole.
What is the power output of the prop and motor please?
I am about to buy a Chinese motor and battery.... I think I can make it fly  :)

It's going to be fun to try.

It was 500 or 750 watts max I believe. Torqeedo Ultralight series. I'm interested to see what you build!

When I have something working, I will post inside :)

Zin Boats reinvents the electric speedboat in a bid to become the Tesla of the sea

A friend got in early on the standup paddleboards (SUPs). I had never heard of them when he told me, as delusional people do, that it was going to go big soon. So... years later, he has bought up a large number of his competitors and is selling SUPs like mad during Covid. The main problem he has is that all his fabrication is in China and he is having trouble getting enough to meet demand.

Another friend with an outdoor gear shop is going crazy - they can't keep things in stock.

Anything that allows for outdoor recreation with social distancing (or not) is booming right now.

yup something like that :) perhaps a tad smaller.
seems boat dev is not cheap, but I have been enjoying watching the past documentaries on the Americas cup boats.  I cannot believe Zin does not fly.

I need something to replace suits that sells. Suits are dead in the water still.

I have been looking for some kayaks or SUPs to paddle around with the kids and they are very hard to come by right now, especially looking for used ones. Pretty much all the bike shops are sold out of most everything except for some $5000+ electric bikes and there is at least a 3 week backlog if you want to get a bike tuned up or serviced. I could see it being frustrating as a store owner to have all this demand but not be able to meet it due to supply chain issues.
