Actually, the governor of Kentucky was talking about this in an interview and it's actually worse than that. A better analogy is to say that it's like having peeing and non-peeing sections of a swimming pool, and every time someone pees in the peeing section, people in the non-peeing section have to give them a dollar.

He was talking specifically about how the businesses in "your" community are doing the right thing and paying the price, and you're returning the favor by driving across the border and patronizing their competition.

The state of Texas is warning Mayor Ron Nirenberg and County Judge Nelson Wolff their local coronavirus orders are unlawful.

Attorney General Ken Paxton said the orders are superseded by order put in place by the state of Texas, and could confuse residents of Bexar County and San Antonio.

"Unfortunately, a few Texas counties and cities seem to have confused recommendations with requirements and have grossly exceeded state law to impose their own will on private citizens and businesses. These letters seek to avoid any public confusion as we reopen the state," Paxton said. "I trust that local officials will act quickly to correct any orders that unlawfully conflict with Texas law and Governor Abbott's Executive Orders."
