Everyone is using Google Photos Wrong

Ever-expanding cloud storage presents more risks than you might think.

But it shouldn't be this way. Uploading thousands of photos and never taking any steps to sort or manage them creates a series of privacy risks and is making it impossible to maintain your photo collection in the future. Now is the time to stop being an information hoarder, before it spirals out of control.

They make it hard to delete don't they.

This was a nudge to get rid of a few hundred screen shots, and it is surprisingly difficult to select image "like"

They have a fancy engine that can find "Similar shots" to play back to you, but selecting all images by device is no longer possible.

Or even whatsapp images seems difficult. I get images with whatsapp written on them.

I once saw a security demo that took a user's group of individually boring/routine family-type photos (birthday parties, new car, etc) and constructed a pretty good personal profile.
