Sometimes I'll post, what I consider a throwaway blog post not thinking it very good, and it suddenly takes off with people making thoughtful replies, re-posting etc.

Or, many years ago, I reposted something from Doc Searls blog and got a track-back on his comments.  Suddenly I was getting hundreds of hits a day for several days. 

You never know.
