Agree. But I would not stay on Bsky without Tampermonkey, certainly not for general use. That said, it might be possible to login and sharpshoot some worthwhile categories such as science and/or medical.  But one stray click and you're going to get furries, politics, or porn.

On Bsky I follow only a select few individuals, most are people who I followed on Twitter, jumped ship, and I didn't want to lose contact.  So I get lots of politics but then I post about politics so fair enough.

I also follow Bsky subjects: archaeology and Ukraine War.  Thankfully I've not seen either furries or porn and those two topics don't invite those I guess.

I've not logged into Twitter of Bluesky in a long time, but my Twitter feed was so curated, there really wasn't much noise in it.

The problem is that people I followed, once they got popular, had to deal with enough trolls that one by one they left, so there isn't much signal in my feed anymore either

I've picked up a few members & sites (weather-related, science, & medical comes to mind) that make it worthwhile but I'd have never seen them without intensive, massive filtering.  I use 2 feeds --Science and FireHose-- as mining sluice boxes.

FireHose filtering has massive collateral losses and takes some work daily but it is slowly becoming my replacement for r/all enshittification.
