TL;DL - Canada didn't try to seize US market share, it simply sought stability and that was attractive to Brazil who decided it would rather sell to a stable partner than a big partner, which has "thrown [US] supply models into disarray... almost overnight." Brazilian farmers and exporters are not in some ideological battle, they are trying to make a living and looked for a stable partner and it wasn't the US, it was Canada.
