Headzup: Merchants are resizing product images to decrease negative concerns

Amz issued a ban on AI-generated product images a couple of weeks ago but this is a long-term issue involving real images. I'm seeing a noticeable uptick, though, across several sites.

Basically, the merchants photoshop an increase or decrease of the scale of a real image of the product relative to its surroundings to make it more attractive or serviceable. An example would be portraying an under-sink water filtering system to be smaller than actual size and showing it in situ to make it show that there is plenty of room remaining in the cabinet.

The true product dimensions -if specified- are not altered but many buyers cannot visualize these or do not check them.
