GEM:
Google treats search interactions (including AI Overviews and Search AI mode) separately from standalone Gemini workspace chats (`gemini.google.com`). Even when logged into the same account, queries and responses generated within Google Search do not auto-sync into your standard Gemini conversation list.

Search interactions are stored under **Web & App Activity** via **Google My Activity** or accessible via **AI Mode history** in search, rather than as editable threads in the main Gemini client.

Would you like to export or locate those search-based threads from your Google My Activity history?

RC: Yes

There is no native sync or automatic transfer between Google Search AI interactions (such as Search AI Mode or AI Overviews) and the standalone Gemini web app (`gemini.google.com`).

Because Search AI and Gemini run on separate backend pipelines, you must manually bring data from Search into Gemini using one of these methods:

### Option 1: Manual Copy & Handover Prompt (Best for single long chats)

1. Copy the full conversation text or key details directly from your Search AI thread.
2. Open `gemini.google.com`.
3. Paste the text with a handover prompt:
> *"Here is a search thread I had previously. Please analyze it and continue the conversation with me based on this context: [Paste conversation here]"*

### Option 2: Retrieve from Google My Activity & Export

1. Go to **[myactivity.google.com](https://myactivity.google.com/)**.
2. Filter or search for **Web & App Activity** to retrieve the exact prompts and text generated during your Search AI session.
3. Open **Google Takeout** (`takeout.google.com`), select **My Activity** (filtered to Search), and export a archive of your search activity to keep as a local text record.

### Option 3: Import via Gemini Memory Settings (For importing key context)

If your goal is to make Gemini "remember" facts or preferences learned during your Search AI session:

1. Go to **`gemini.google.com`** and click **Settings** (gear icon) $\rightarrow$ **Import memory to Gemini**.
2. Paste the summary of details or preferences gathered from your search testing into the memory input field.
