The biggest decrease was in the information industry, including Internet service providers, Web search portals, publishing, broadcasting and telecommunications. The sector's employment dropped by 7.3 percent (14,600 jobs) to 186,200 jobs.

I always remember there was someone from the DTI that said that Aberdeen was the entrepreneurial capital of the UK when a body called Beyond Bricks was first started.

Wasn't until someone realised that the State/City box had Aberdeen pre-selected and most people forgot to change it they realised their error.

But I can see a lot of the work heading to Texas, many of the people I know have relocated there because there is no affiliate tax.

Interesting... wonder why there's been such a jump in the oil/gas industry just down there?

I know in the past 10 years, many of the oil and gas companies in Kansas and Oklahoma and other areas moved all corporate jobs down to Houston.
