Worth even optimising for images after G's most recent land grab?

Working through my on-site optimisation checklist for a new site.  Images should do well for them, but with the land grab google has just done on images I'm wondering what that has done to image referrals.   Has anyone seen drops in referrals from image search?

No.  And I used to do quite a bit of image traffic to tourism sites using frames busting script --which no longer works, btw.

The only way I'd bother is if you can find a way to break it.
