If it works reliably that is a stunner.  I just paid $200 for a refurbished Toshiba with a lot less specs.

rcjordan

It'll be $150 by Christmas.

>works

No problems that I've heard with that cheap android tablet I gave the grandkids.  Hell, Foxconn is probably making all of them anyway and the hardware bits are becoming generic.

OK, I stand corrected ...$129.99 by Christmas

I wish it had a newer version of Android. 4.1 is already a year old. However, those are some great specs for the price. No need to waste money on Apple products at that price.

>>Apple

No way could I order an iPad for $500 or more when these are available.  At around $150 price it starts being worth the gamble that it will workout of the box.

Watch for flood of used Android tablets as everybody upgrades every 6 mo. to a year.

Also, this might kill off the Google Nexus program, because Google will see no reason to subsidize hardware in a bid to show manufacturers how to do it right, when the generic makers are obviously getting it.

Seen the iPad 4 in the store - will definitely get one some day soon  :P

Stunning spec. My 7" Kindle Fire HD wasn't a lot of use until I put Cyanogenmod on it, but now it's a very usable stock-Android tablet. There's already some movement on custom roms for this tablet (link below). It'd be great to see Cyanogenmod support this kind of hardware, as it'd ensure an upgrade path as new official Android builds are released.
