A record of past projects on that page showed that she was paid $300 last month to create a "Wikipedia Page for an individual." Another ongoing project listed on her page showed Stierch commanding $44.44 an hour for editorial work on the site.

Sounds like oDesk to me

Which then explains the relatively low rate. oDesk is not exactly the place to charge a lot more for anything - it just wouldn't ever sell as you would be outbid on any project and in providers search by swarms of cheap third world providers.
