Is this not simply augmenting Google Flights with low cost carrier data that they previously didn't have, especially so on European routes?

I'd chalk this up as Ryanair bullshit except I'm seeing G do a lot of expanded 'reference' stuff in the upper right corner of the page lately.

Anecdotal evidence at home verifies that these sections do keep me from surfing off the serp.  I also believe that they would be devastating to sites fishing for less-focused users. Factoids were one of the best dragnets for resort tourism sites, for instance.
