A 2010 1198S Corse Edition with 35 miles on it. I am having it shipped up to my dads shop up North (while I contemplate shoulder surgery) and will let you know when I finally get some pics of my own, but if you want to see a sneak peak at a true Italian Supermodel, please allow me to introduce you one that should leave everything else on the road at a loss for words... and at 170hp and 375lbs, me at a loss for breath.

Bellissimo.

I'mglad you found a gem.  In my rides this spring iI'm seeing a fair number of bikes in front yards with for sale signs, but a lot of people are buying too.

Yeah, Spring is definitely the time to buy or sell a convertible or a bike. I think this is one of those bikes that someone bought because they were in the Air Force and wanted an adrenaline fix, but after a first ride realized this was just way too much bike for a beginner and they parked it.

The guy said he had a debt to pay and that was about it, as to why he was dumping it, but with only 35 miles after 4 years, my guess is he scared the shit out of himself on the way back home and never got back on it.  That's the difference between really fast bikes and cars; you can't just buy your way into this club.

Anyway, the pics looked great, so were going to escrow... and when my dad gets delivery he has 5 days to inspect, so we should be safe. The bad part is I probably won't see it until July.

Scam:'(  He sounded totally legit on the phone (answered all the technical questions about that bike) and we were supposed to pick a mutually agreed upon escrow company, but it still just seemed way too good to be true... and there was a bit of time pressure... so at the last second, I offered to pay to have it inspected at a Ducati dealer near him, before I put the money into escrow today... but he replied he didn't have a license to drive it, and instead sent me a payment request from a bogus escrow company basically trying to get me to WesternUnion him a $2500 deposit:-\

Oh well, the search goes on... to find honest people:)
