Nice.  Its good CM is forking their own version of Android.  That said I find while I like Android very much on a tablet I'm less enthusiastic about it on a phone.

I'm still hanging on for the Ubuntu phone.

I know people with the Nexus 5, and when they try CM they inevitably go back. I hear that the people most impressed with CM for daily use are those who have the Samsung and other manufacturer cruft on their phones. The stock Nexus Android is apparently a lot better.

Agreed, bill.  Plain vanilla Android was much better on my Nexus 4 than my experience with HTC phones.  Also like the Nexus 7 and 10 tablets.

My first android experience was a Nexus 1.  I couldn't understand the complaints about Android until my wife bought an HTC. I then mistakenly bought a Samsung... then another HTC.   Both companies ability to consistently knacker a good OS amazes me.   Nexus 5 now.  I'm hoping to stay Nexus as long as possible.
