I find it somewhat interesting, however more sci-fi than real world. If the shit hits the fan we're all toast and surviving in a bunker with a stack of gold coins and 20/20 eyesight is not something I strive for anyway.

Just watched that again a couple nights ago. The whole time I was thinking "Walking Dead without Zombies"

I watched it after reading the book which was extremely depressing imo, much worse than the movie.

A friend of mine got obsessed with silo conversions a while ago. He was contemplating a book on the subject but didn't get very far.

Billionaires paid for building 4 hi-tech, luxury arks.  The movie ends with the 3 surviving ships arriving at the last remaining piece of dry land, a large island.  I've always wondered what happened next as billionaires aren't too good at foraging for food.
