I wish you had, too, LM.   Sorry that it's nailed you. Shingles = bad. 

Don't know if it's true, but they used to say anyone who had only had a mild case of chickenpox were more vulnerable.

Might be true.  I was young, maybe four, and I don't remember suffering too badly through it.  The AV meds seem to be working though.  Apparently it cuts the flareup duration down quite a bit.
