First Road in U.S. Made With Recycled Plastic Paved on UCSD Campus

Sounds kinda neat.  We had some roads paved using a binder made from old tires and that seemed to go well but it never seemed to gain wider use.

There was a local newspaper article, the county government was looking into some sort of spray on topping for asphalt roads that  was made partly from recycled plastic.  It was supposed to make the road last longer.  I don't know if they ever followed through with that.
