LOL
...And if you aren't doing one (or both) of those things, you are doing something wrong.
... I can give you a whole string of 'or' options there that bust that model up .. but thats not the point
I have no problem following the selfish option - it is what usually happens eventually, I just need to beat the 'common sense' part of my brain to death with enough alcohol before I make the decision
What I mean is, the selfish temptation to go for the super-fast broadband provided by Virgin is fighting against the absolute bloody certainty that they will make my life a living hell at a crucial moment by having the connection go flaky... and then putting me in support desk queue of 500 waiting for an Indian call center employee, who, despite what he claims is NOT called 'David' and has no f**ing idea what has happened anyway.
... but then the selfish me says 'hey, maybe they changed, maybe they will give reliable service this time' .. etc.. and the argument lasts until sufficient alcohol is applied, then I give in to 'selfish'. The problem is, I then have face up to the 'commonsense' me doing the whole 'told you so' bit further down the line, which means the application of even more alcohol etc...
