« on: August 06, 2012, 05:41:00 PM »
Keeping in tread with the spate of 3D printing here's a TED talk about printing homes to solve the housing issue across the WORLD!!

I feel a revolution is coming!
Now how much are these 3D printers?

Web Development / Tool needed: Import lists and re-order them
« on: August 06, 2012, 12:19:41 PM »
Hey peeps,

Does anyone know of a tool that allows two lists to be imported and displayed next to each other so I can then easily reorder them?

What I'm doing is 301 redirects en masse due to a platform change and need to match up the old pages to the new pages.
Doing it in excel is a little fiddly so being able to drap and drop for example would be a time saver :)

Been getting these recently and I thought the first one was just a test but then a few more down the line, they are still using that ghastly florescent green!
My eyes hurt just glancing at it!!!

Web Development / Creating Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
« on: June 27, 2012, 10:06:13 PM »
Heyy  ;D

Just near completing my 1st web service and wondered if you guys/gals have any ideas of cost in creating the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy?

Toying with the idea of either paying for it properly from the start vs creating a Frankenstein version from similar services to tie me over

Hardware & Technology / Rockmelt vs Chrome
« on: June 21, 2012, 03:22:05 PM »
Following on from SRware Iron vs Chrome  http://th3core.com/talk/hardware-technology/srware-iron-vs-chrome/, I started looking around for other browsers based on Chrome and stumbled across Rockmelt - http://www.rockmelt.com/

Well.. I've installed it, plugged it into my facebook account (which you need), and WOW!
I've added multiple twitter accounts, a gmail account plus a few other news sites that I normally read and I must say I am very impressed so far

The only thing I'm worried about is will I be able to do any work now!

Traffic / WOW, Google you really are sh*te
« on: June 20, 2012, 03:03:49 PM »
For the first time is awhile I've had to use Bing to search for something to buy.
And guess what... Bing turned up trumps. Loads of independents offering products at good prices and great customer service.

Google on the other hand wants to show me brands like BHS, Marks&Spencer, John Lewis etc, including links to ebay and ehow articles.

EPIC FAIL in my view and only a matter of time for the average Joe to realise.... I hope!

Web Development / Do I trandfer all my domains into one account?
« on: June 18, 2012, 09:42:24 AM »
Hey guys,

I'm currently thinking about moving all my domains to a single account at 123reg (as I'm from the UK).
Should I move them so I have all my domains under one roof or just leave them where they are? (they are mainly at godaddy)

What do you guys do and are there any pros and cons you can enlighten me that I may not have thought about for either way?

Cheers :)
