"The absence of political unity allowed the continent to be ruled by many small, sovereign, and competing territorial divisions."

Yes, and look at what happened over the past few hundred years in Europe. Clue: genocide after genocide after genocide.

I'd love to know the ROI comparison, though - I've tended to be cynical about that with mobile ads.

Cloud computing platform.

Effectively, virtualization of all your IT infrastructure, so you don't need to rely on the cost and expense of physical hardware.

...OR they've passed the point where they feel they can be held accountable.

HAve they ever? :P

And yet Big 5 publishers can each put nearly a billion dollars into the Cayman Islands every year.

I didn't realize UK used RU gas. I would have guessed North Sea and/or Africa.

Here you go: https://www.britishgas.co.uk/the-source/our-world-of-energy/energys-grand-journey/where-does-uk-gas-come-from

As you can appreciate, any European reliance on Russia is politically sensitive. No wonder we're pushing on fracking for energy security.

Heat pumps makes for a low-cost alternative. And will make us less reliant on Russian gas, which is going to be an increasingly sensitive issue here, as it already is in Germany.

I've been using this list this week:
https://www.ibsdiets.org/fodmap-diet/fodmap-food-list/

Cut a few things out, will add a few things in. Been wheat & dairy free for a couple of years, vegetarian for decades, but still get flare-ups with colitis. Especially whenever I quit smoking - such as last month.

Doesn't help when your government slashes police numbers, then acts surprised that violent crime goes up

Didn't the UK spend the past 7 years borrowing a French one? :)

I hung on to vb3 for a long time before moving to Xenforo. It was more a forced move and XF seemed the least worst choice. I'm really impressed with the functionality they've built into it, though, especially the frontend options via mods.

Another one today: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-47499326

Btw, a check on the DJI over the past 5 days doesn't look good: https://www.google.co.uk/search?site=finance&tbm=fin&q=INDEXDJX:+.DJI#scso=_yNCCXO6IMOedlwTOybj4CA2:0
There was a big drop toward the end of December, enough for news outlets to report a bear market. With no good financial news to report, I figure we'll see that come to pass over this year. The question is, if so, how far with the DJI fall? More importantly - when is the best market opportunity that follows after? :)
