Any early thoughts?

Just looking at it myself.

One of my sites got killed. It had been ranking in the top 3 for many years for the sites main keyword and now is down in the 50s. Most of the long tail searches are 50+ now as well.

Pretty bad timing right before Nov-Dec which is when this site makes about 70% of its yearly sales. Trying to decide if I want to be patient and give it a week or two or totally rebuild the site. It is a very old, antiquated site and needs an overhaul but I have been hesitant since it was ranking so well.

It feels like the typical holiday season G ecomm bork where big stores and brands win.

Quite a bit of tears out there. I normally don't watch too closely as it all pans out in the end but this hit a little harder than usual and I'm running a lot of different tests which are being affected.

not much of a change but I am back on page 1 (number 10) for main keywords search and a spammy adsense site with ebay links too has been dropped to 14 for the .co.uk and the .com to page 3
I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible. But, pissing everyone off is a piece of cake!

Some up, some down. One site ranked very well for a long time, just dropped to 11. Domain is the exact mach keyword, so link profile is funny and too much towards the exact match.

One of my sites got crushed.  Low quality site tho

Adam C

lost about 30% off one site.  Small moves in head terms and a slice out of the torso.  Biggest hit for me off any of the Pandas.

Not noticed anything yet as just back from hols so not gone through any stats - however, have noticed a slight increase in Adsense between Oct 2nd-14th. Just me?

A new client of mine just lost between 7 and 30 places on every major term.    I'm going to be popular this month!  99% sure that isn't as a result of anything we've done - they've just run out of luck.  Bet I still get the blame though.

Not checked client rankings yet, but looks like a sudden drop in Adsense from Oct 20th.

Just spotted this:

QuoteOne other specific piece of guidance we've offered is that low-quality content on some parts of a website can impact the whole site's rankings, and thus removing low quality pages, merging or improving the content of individual shallow pages into more useful pages, or moving low quality pages to a different domain could eventually help the rankings of your higher-quality content.

From here,  May time:
