Rather idealistic at the moment, but I can see this being a popular idea about now.

Is this basically distributive caching and file sharing with a reimbursement scheme?  Sounds interesting, but I don't know how it will increase privacy or security.  Also, the ISPs will still control the pathways.

That's what I keep thinking about all this mesh an no isp hype.  Who's going to hook the mesh to the trunk lines?  At those points, somebody is going to have control. Either that, or we're back to ham radio or bbs dial-in.
