QuoteHalo Top, a six-year-old company that makes low-calorie, high-protein ice cream, is now the best-selling pint in U.S. grocery stores.

Don't know whether to put this under investments or water cooler. I've eaten about a gallon of it since mid-July while on transitional keto. No horrific impact on weight.

Travoli

Just got the chocolate peanut butter.

It's good. 10/10 would invest.

I forgot to add that Halo Top doesn't give my digestion anywhere near the problem that regular ice cream does --though there's a bit of it.

QuoteTo keep calories low, Halo Top uses the zero-calorie sweetener Stevia. For added sweetness, it also uses organic cane sugar — which is still sugar — and erythritol, which is a type of sugar alcohol. While many sugar alcohols are thought to be linked to gastrointestinal problems, Gans says erythritol is typically less potent than others. Halo Top also uses prebiotic fiber, which Woolverton says is a natural type of fiber derived from plants like chicory root, to give the ice cream more texture and body.

Stevia  ...Louise & I hate the taste of Stevia. But we cannot taste it in HT.

Brad

Got to try this.

>Stevia

Good to know.  I feel safer with Stevia as the artificial sweetener than the others, although the taste in soda does not work with every flavor.

>try this

It's not keto, for sure, but it's not too bad as indulgences go.

It's very filling with all that protein. Doesn't seem to set off carb-cravings. Other than my very slight "sugar & milk" reaction, it feels a lot like I've eaten a good serving of cheese re hunger afterward.

Texture is ever-so-slightly off, not quite as creamy as ice cream ...but I haven't seen anyone let that stop them from eating the pint, hhh.

QuoteThe assault on the end of summer has officially begun. Starbucks made a Pumpkin Spice Latte announcement on Thursday, and recently, people started noticing that pumpkin pie flavored M&M's have already hit the shelves.

>not quite as creamy

Yeah, it's lighter. Slightly whipped consistency. Easier to eat straight out of the freezer.

Halo Top's new terrifying commercial will have you screaming, but probably not for ice cream

DrCool

Tried Halo Top. Flavor was very good, texture was not. Really icy and airy. But it didn't upset my stomach like most other ice cream does.

And $5.49 a pint is pretty spendy.

I can see them riding a big wave of popularity but soon I would guess Ben & Jerrys, Hagen-Daaz, or some other big manufacturer will come out with a similar product and gain back their market share.

Travoli

It doesn't bother my stomach.

Red velvet is the best according to several family members. We tested 6-7 flavors over Thanksgiving.

Also, each flavor has a different texture.

>It doesn't bother my stomach.

My granddaughter (who inherited my stomach issues with sweet dairy products) reported just yesterday that Halo Top doesn't bother her.

>red velvet

I'll tell Louise. She's training a couple of grocery chains' computer systems to up their Halo Top inventories by buying everything the try as a stock item. Haven't seen red velvet yet.
